Founder & CEO
Rowan is a specialist advisor to CEOs. He has made the CEO position his area of deep study and has developed rare CEO-specific methodologies and frameworks to help his clients build their CEO ‘craft’.
Educated at Berkeley University and Harvard Business School, Rowan has spent his career working across multiple global geographies in consulting and industry. He founded Lockstep in 2006 through which he has guided the development of CEOs and their executive teams around the world. Rowan has a relentlessly optimistic view of what business can become – he sees a business as a work of art in the making – and works through the CEO to build businesses that matter.
Anne is a masterful business builder. She is highly skilled in shifting businesses to realize their unique greatness. Her career trajectory is the result of multifaceted leadership prowess having worked across multiple sectors both locally and globally.
Anne is a partner at Lockstep and has furthered her business commerce qualification through strategic planning at the UCT Graduate School of Business and is an advanced Theory U practitioner. She has a performance mindset and believes that performance and humanity can and should co-exist.

Angela is focused on coaching senior clients and contributing to the personal development aspects of Lockstep’s programmes.
As head of the Lockstep Enneagram practice it’s also her passion to ensure that the associates use the powerful profiling tool with real accuracy, sophistication and expertise.
Angela believes that great leadership is not complicated but does require a courageous willingness to operate from the inner ‘genius’ self rather than the ego. When this happens, a leader can positively affect, if not transform, scores of lives.
Rob consults and facilitates learning in the area of people performance and believes that there is a better way of being in the work space, one that is more engaging, more ethical and more effective.
Rob helps clients build better workplaces by helping them achieve their strategy through positive cultures, strong leadership, effective management and engaged team members. He loves working with people and helping the connection, growth and development of tangible skills.
Tom is a people performance practitioner specialising in getting the best out of people in their chosen sphere. focusing specifically on excellent teaming and performance. He likes to challenge the status quo around how people operate.
Tom has worked in leadership and performance for over 10 years. He has worked extensively in the business and sporting worlds enabling effective behaviours, growing leadership and helping teams become high-performing entities.
Sue has over 20 years of experience in business and as a strategy consultant in South Africa and the US. She has held leadership positions in corporate and medium-sized businesses, primarily in retail and financial services.
Sue’s pivot into the field of leadership development was triggered by exposure to the power of coaching processes in the consulting environment. Since then, Sue has worked with executives and teams to drive performance by shaping compelling visions, articulating clear purpose and values, strengthening leadership and teams, and building leader adaptability.
Sue partners with her clients in a thought provoking and creative process to unlock potential and improve well-being.
Martin is an executive coach and Enneagram practitioner. His passion is working with teams and companies helping them become future fit, adaptable, high performing and have a lasting impact on society and the people they serve.
Martin has worked in leadership and personal development for close to 18 years and believes that better humans make better leaders. He is fascinated by the link between personal and leadership development.
Erica has a background in Management Consulting across multiple sectors and leading start-up and corporate Talent (HR/People) teams, She has the unique experience of combining business acumen with human capital expertise.
Erica specialises in partnering with CEOs and their leadership teams to set the business up for success regarding talent and HR.
